BEACH RULES

 

The following are the beach rules and Regulations for the LHPOA beach as set by the LHPOA Board of Governors.    Our Attendants have been asked to enforce these rules to the best of their ability.  Please cooperate and follow the rules to help make the beach a safe and enjoyable place for all.

  • All members must check in with the Attendant.  Only paid members may use the facility.

  • Persons living within the boundaries of LHPOA and who are eligible to join may not be guests of our members.

  • Please provide any guest(s) using the beach without members presenting their visitor pass. Guests may not include business ventures, such as daycare, school or church groups, etc., without Board approval.

  • CHILDREN UNDER 14 YEARS OLD MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES ON THE BEACH AND IN THE WATER by an adult or sibling at least 14 years old.  Attendants are not to babysit the children.

  • All members and their guests are responsible for the beach.  Please clean up all trash before leaving.  We are not responsible for personal items left on the beach. Lost and found is located in the beach shed. 

  •  Anyone deemed unruly, using foul language, interfering with the Attendant's duties, or acting in an inappropriate manner may be ejected from the beach at the discretion of the Attendant or any Board member.

  • Parents/guardians are required to watch children in the water.  Parents should determine how deep in the water their children can swim and instruct accordingly.  If children cannot swim they must not be left unattended in or near the water.  LHPOA reserves the right to amend such instructions at any time. 

  • Due to safety considerations, no more than 10 people (max. 1050 lbs.) may be on the dock at one time.   No diving (jump feet first). NEVER swim or play under any of the docks. 

  • No pushing or running on docks.  Ball throwing and games should be done in a safe area (far end of the beach)

  • No fishing is allowed from sand or docks in the swimming area at any time.

  • No boats or paddle boards are allowed in the swimming area.

  • Attendants have the final say on the use of all docks. 

  • No glass of any kind is allowed on the beach.

  • No open fires (including charcoal).

  • Per State law, NO dogs or other pets are allowed on the beach between May 15 - September 15

  • Beach curfew is 10 p.m. and is monitored by neighborhood watch and the police.

  • Landlords should provide LHPOA with names and contact information for tenants to use the beach.

  • No vehicles or trailers can block boat ramp, driveways, or dumpster.

  • Bikes and skateboards must be walked down the boat ramp and parked in a designated area.  No biking or skateboarding off docks.

  • Member boats must be registered. There are NO BOAT REGISTRATION FEES – Please fill out the form below form. 

BOATS

While LHPOA makes every attempt to embody the highest degree of protection in our property LHPOA is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged boats.​

  • All boats must be registered. Boats must have their stickers displayed in a visible location. ANY unregistered boats left on the beach will be chained until the owner can be located.

  • All boats must be removed by October 31. After 3 attempts to contact the owner, the boat will be considered abandoned.
